the aim of the camp was to teach the boys all he experienced from his life in the african bush as a soldier fighting the boers.the boys taught about self reliance,to feed themselves, decences and service to others.the boys were very encouraged and after the camp barden powel decided to publish the book known as scouting for boys.the book was like a fire which spread all over the world.after only 4 years it had covered the 6000miles from london to zanzibar,
the scouting entered zanzibar in 1912 and the first troop was kiungani high school.the troop was under the leadership of reverend robert keable.
